Gordon Platt is an attorney, award-winning investigative journalist and filmmaker, and long-time entrepreneur and strategic consultant. His legal practice focuses on representing companies and individuals facing significant challenges in rapidly evolving sectors of the world economy. Areas of focus include: trusts and estates, asset protection, dispute resolution, fraud and internal investigations, and asset tracing and recovery. He is a member of the bar and licensed to practice in New York and Massachusetts.

Gordon’s background ensures that his clients not only receive superior legal advice and services but also benefit from a strategic vision gained from his experience as an investigative producer for ABC News, documentary filmmaker and as an entrepreneur. He is the founder of Gotham Media, a production company and marketing services firm. Gordon’s practice is also informed by an extensive network of relationships formed over two decades of organizing professional events and programs for investors and entrepreneurs. He has organized events around the United States and in London.

As a producer for ABC News, Gordon received an Emmy and a Columbia Dupont Award, and as an independent producer and director was the recipient of a Silver Gavel from the ABA for his coverage of corrupt law enforcement in Texas. His investigative work in Texas was a significant factor in the pardoning of 35 wrongly convicted defendants. Other work includes extensive investigations of Iraqi arms and nuclear procurement networks, money laundering, and international and domestic terrorism. His documentary work has been featured on Discovery, The History Channel, CourtTV and on many other outlets.

Gordon received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, High Honors), where he majored in Russian and Government and received a Reynolds Fellowship for postgraduate study as well as the Woodbury Law Prize. He received an M.Sc. in Russian History and Politics from the London School of Economics where he was a recipient of the Leonard Schapiro Scholarship.

Gordon lives with his family and two large dogs in Westchester Country, New York. In his spare time, he enjoys running and giving unsolicited advice to his three sons.
